# Reset password

POST https://app.unleash-instance.example.com/auth/reset/password-email
Content-Type: application/json

Requests a password reset email for the user. This email can be used to reset the password for a user that has forgotten their password

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (required) — API key needed to access this API
- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — API key needed to access this API, in Bearer token format

## Request

This endpoint expects an emailSchema.

- `email` (string, required) — The email address

## Response

### 200

This response has no body.

## Errors

### 401 Unauthorized Error

Authorization information is missing or invalid. Provide a valid API token as the `authorization` header, e.g. `authorization:*.*.my-admin-token`.

### 404 Not Found Error

The requested resource was not found.
